My sessions take
place in the calm and congenial surroundings
of my downtown studio, enhanced with gentle
music and scents
to soothe your body and mind.
Because of the techniques involved, my bodywork
is performed on the floor, on traditional
Japanese tatami mats, using an all-cotton
futon.
But my
bodywork is about more than just technique:
it's about the connection between myself
and the receiver. Throughout the treatment,
I aim to truly become one with my client.
Once you've experienced the intimacy, empathy
and trust that this connection brings, as
well as the level of service I provide,
you will understand why my
clients return again and again.

The Eastern bodywork
experience is quite different from conventional,
Swedish-style massage. My treatments encompass
the intense yet comforting pressure of shiatsu,
as well as the invigorating stretches of
Thai massage.
These systems are based on the ancient model
of traditional Asian medicine and have immense
healing power for body, mind and spirit.
They are excellent for general
relaxation,
as well as for specific conditions such
as lower back pain and stress.
Fees :
1 hour: $70.00
1.5 hours: $90.00
Aromatherapy
Massage
This style
is great for emotional
and mental balance,
and overall relaxation.
What to
expect: This
is a full-body general relaxation and healing
massage. As it is an oil-based massage,
you will receive nude.
I begin with massage techniques using unscented
almond oil a very pure, light and
easily-absorbed oil that is wonderful for
both normal and dry or damaged skin.
Essential
oils
highly concentrated botanical essences
are added to the massage oil to soothe your
mind and body. The scent of an essential
oil is said to have healing energetic properties.
The oils have a direct effect on the body's
limbic system, and can therefore also positively
affect your emotions.
You will
experience
light-to-powerful stroking, kneading and
pressure techniques, and deep tissue work
as needed. During the session, you will
feel yourself reaching a state of quiet
stillness. Gentle, meditative music enhances
the environment.
Aromatherapy massage is profoundly relaxing,
intimate and soothing.
Fees :
1 hour: $70.00
1.5 hours: $90.00

For Shiatsu
and Thai:
Please feel free to wear shorts or briefs,
or to disrobe. Minimal clothing allows
us to work freely and comfortably. These
techniques do not use oil.
Aromatherapy:
This is an oil-based technique. For this
work, you will of course receive nude
so that the treatment can be given directly
on your skin.
Coming straight from work? Shower
facilities
are always available to you.

My bodywork is great for general
relaxation and well-being.
I also offer specific therapeutic
treatments which can help with many conditions,
including:
- Headaches
- Lower back pain and
other chronic pain
- Tiredness, tension
and stress
- Insomnia
- Low energy levels
- Sexual dysfunction
Your therapy,
over one or several sessions, will be
uniquely designed to treat the underlying
cause of your condition, as well as relieve
your symptoms.
It may surprise you that bodywork can
help with these conditions. The reason
is that shiatsu and Thai massage are based
on the principles of traditional Asian
medicine.
My success stories include helping people
with chronic pain, including back pain;
arthritis; insomnia and depression.
Eastern bodywork treats the whole person:
body, mind, and spirit.

I've been practicing
the science and art of relaxation and healing
bodywork since 1985, when I first studied
at the Reade School of Massage in London,
England. I then trained at the British School
of Shiatsu, the first major shiatsu school
in that country, where my focus was zen
shiatsu and macrobiotics.
In Toronto, I am a graduate of a rigorous
1100-hour shiatsu and Eastern medicine training
program. This means I am fully qualified
and licensed to practice an important
consideration when you're choosing a therapist.
I am privileged to work with the power of
healing touch. The pleasure for me comes
from tailoring each session to your needs
on that day no two sessions are ever
the same and from finding that ever-elusive,
all-important connection.
I hope to have the privilege of working
with you very soon.
